IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION

PLEASE READ: Shipping & handling charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Shipping methods are determined by a number of factors including size, weight, number of pieces, etc. For orders less than truckload, United Parcel Service (UPS) usually handles smaller drop-ship items. For products whose dimensions or weight exceed UPS specifications, LTL (Less than truckload) or truckload carriers must be used. 

IF AN ITEM MUST SHIP BY TRUCK!

Certain products must ship by truck, due to size, weight or other factors. If you do not have a receiving facility, normal deliveries are DOOR to DOOR. “Inside Delivery” - when you want something placed inside is DIFFERENT and incurs additional charges. SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Truck shipping can be an extremely complicated process. The cost depends on a number of factors, including where the freight is to be delivered and whether delivery will be to a business or residential type address. Note some business deliveries may be classified as “residential type”. 

All shipping, be it ground or LTL is provided by outside services who are responsible for setting their own fees of which are out of our control. If we are to arrange freight, your order will not be processed until after we have contacted you with shipping charges and you accept them. Your order cannot be changed or cancelled after that.

Please keep these factors in mind:
1. Ordering multiple pieces at one time does not necessarily increase the shipping cost. In fact, it’s usually much more economical to ship multiple pieces at one time.
2. Freight returns are extremely expensive so please be sure of your purchase before you place it. You will be responsible for freight on any returns, along with the original freight charges.

FREIGHT DAMAGES

Handled immediately and correctly, freight issues are usually easy to rectify.

Anytime you ship anything, there is a chance that the shipment will incur damage from mishandling.  If this happens, don’t worry, we can in most instances expedite an replacement parts order for any part that is damaged. Most freight issues are easily overcome.

If your order arrives and it appears that the freight may have been mis-handled, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT, AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, TO MAKE NOTE OF THIS AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY, WITH THE DRIVER PRESENT, ON THE BILL OF LADING OR OTHER RECEIVING DOCUMENT. Carriers then can be held liable for damages and the cost of replacing damaged product. If you do not note this on the carrier’s paperwork during actual delivery, the freight carrier may deny any responsibility and refuse compensation for the damage. 

Our advice would be to accept the shipment but be SURE to note the damage on the paperwork; delivery agent should acknowledge the same. Once this is done, be sure to ask for a copy of the paperwork. Then give us an email (webmaster@rushfurniture.com) or call (1-800-524-0258) and we’ll figure out the best course of action.
